Ziti Bake

Quick and easy baked ziti even taste so good even with no meat.

Ingredients

• 3 cups ziti
• 1-3/4 cups meatless spaghetti sauce, divided
• 1 cup 4% cottage cheese
• 1-1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
• 1 large egg, lightly beaten
• 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
• 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Instruction

1. Cook ziti pasta. In a bowl, combine 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce, cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, lightly beaten egg, parsley, oregano, garlic powder and pepper. Drain pasta and pour into cheese mixture to stir.
2. In a greased 8inch baking dish, spread 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce. Pour in pasta, rest of the sauce and mozzarella cheese.
3. Cover and bake at 375F for 45 minutes. Uncover; bake another 5-10 minutes (a thermometer reads 160F).
