Three Cup Chicken Recipe

This recipe of three cup chicken is just simply tasty with bold flavor.

Ingredients

• 650 g chicken, chopped to chunks
• 2 Tbsp. oil
• 1 bunch of Thai basil
• 1 shallot, sliced
• 12 cloves garlic, chopped
• 2-inch ginger, sliced or smashed
• Sauce:
• 2 Tbsp. light soy sauce
• 2 Tbsp. rock sugar, chop to smaller piece
• 2 Tbsp. cooking wine (Shaoxing wine)
• 2 tsp sesame oil
• 3/4 cup water

Instruction

1. Set cooker to sauté setting, and add 2 tablespoon oil, ginger, garlic and shallots until fragrant. Then add in chicken and the color turns white, add in soy sauce, sugar, wine, sesame oil, and water. Continue to cook on high heat, bring to boil then close lid and set to low heat for 30 – 40 minutes.
2. When liquid begins to thicken, turn off the pot and add basil; stir and ready to serve.
