Falafel made in the air fryer is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle
Ingredients
- 15-oz. chickpeas, drained
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 cup roughly chopped yellow onion
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder
Instruction
- Combine chickpeas, garlic, onion, parsley, cumin, coriander, cayenne, flour, baking soda, salt, and pepper in a blender. Blend until mixture is coarse and make it into 1 1/2 inches balls.
- Grease air fryer basket. Place balls in air fryer in a single layer, and spray with olive oil.
- Air fry at 350 F for 12-14 minutes, turning once.
